Permanently installed in 1998 in an office
building of the Stadtwerke in Halle / Germany.

Two endless chains pass through a
glass tube running from the underground
garage to the top floor. Seven light bulbs
fastened at different intervals react to the
light coming towards them. The two dis-
solve briefly into a radiantly bright light
encounter before continuing, less brightly
illuminated, on their way. The glass tube
penetrates the building’s 5 floors in unex-
pected locations and forms an artistic con-
nection between all floors and hierarchies.
